This week I have really noticed the temperature dropping and the nights drawing in so more of my evenings have been spent curled up in front of the AGA as opposed to out on walks, much to mum’s delight.

However, I still want to keep in touch with my friends and since I already embrace technology through my blog thought I would look at emailing friends instead of visiting them or posting letters. You might be thinking that emails are a strange choice for me considering I work for a printing and mailing company, but you’d be wrong, it turns out CMS actually send lots of email broadcasts for their clients.

The challenge with emails is standing out against all the other emails received that day, week or month. CMS can develop engaging design, and a strong call to action and this, combined with personalisation, can show clients a great return on investment.

Another great advantage of emails is the near instant feedback. Using innovative tracking systems, email marketing allows you to know exactly how many people receive your message, how many open it, and how many actually click on the links and calls to action contained within your message. Armed with this knowledge, you can make adjustments and improvements to subsequent emails.

I also really like the fact that you can include pictures, links and videos within your email, which makes them even more interactive and engaging. Who doesn’t like receiving funny cat videos!?

Why not consider communicating with your clients in a different way. Chances are you already have the makings of a database in your current email system and with the help of CMS you could implement an email broadcast in no time.
