As some of you may know CMS are expanding and I am proud to say that one of the ways we are doing this is by taking on an apprentice.

I am a huge advocate of apprenticeships as I genuinely believe they are effective, affordable and create fantastic opportunities for your business and the individual. It provides a great route for your company to harness fresh, new talent with ‘on the job’ training.

As CMS are an Essex business we have been fortunate enough to receive help and incentives from Essex County Council. The government is also currently pushing for another 500,000 apprentices to be employed by 2020, so now is the ideal time to take someone on.

Our apprentice Emma started with the team on Monday, so if you call be sure to introduce yourselves. During her apprenticeship Emma will be getting stuck into everything – learning how to use our high-tech print machinery and getting involved in our design, set up and packing services.

I really like Emma, she has already worked out that I like my head to be scratched and that I like to lean against people…..plus can you keep a secret?? Well don’t tell Mum but when she had almost finished her sandwich she gave me the last bit…..I think we will get on just fine.

Look out for Emma’s blog takeover next month where she will tell you all about her first month with CMS.

Bye for now, I’m off to say hello to the postman! 🙂
