Hi Everyone, I am pleased to report that I am recovering well, my vet Natasha is really pleased with my progress and thinks I will be back to my usual self in no time.

As a result of the cast on my leg, I have found myself with more time on my paws than usual this week, and as I have been working from home I thought it was time to get on with the jobs I don’t get round to doing in a normal week.

At CMS, our main client base is the financial industry, as we work with banks, building societies, financial advisors and more. It may then come as a surprise to you all when I say; I don’t know a great deal about the sector, so like a dog with a bone I set about my research.

One of the things I learnt was that that every public company in the UK has to hold an annual general meeting (AGM). The AGM is where the board of directors are elected and members are told about future company activity. Company accounts and fiscal information is also available. I must admit I had to Google the definition of fiscal!

When I told mum this snippet of information, she looked at me like I was a daft puppy, because it turns out we handle lots of AGM work for our financial clients, from the printing and mailing of voters forms; through to the capture of the votes, and even acting as the independent scrutineer at the AGM meeting itself.

Then Ian chipped in and told me; CMS have captured over 7 million voting forms and not a single error has been found during checks with trustee’s and clients….now that is something to shout about!

My only excuse for not knowing we handle AGM’s, is that CMS offer so many different services it’s hard to keep up!

If you work for an organization who are starting to plan their next project, please don’t worry I promise your call will be directed to Jo or Rob who know a lot more about our services than me!

P.S If you do ring this office this week, don’t forget to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Production Manager Anthony who turned 21 (again) on Tuesday!
